Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Scrappo. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of scrappo.in and the scrap pickup services provided through Scrappo.

By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. About Scrappo

Scrappo provides a platform and service for connecting customers with scrap collection and pickup services. Depending on the service model applicable to a particular request, pickups may be fulfilled by Scrappo personnel or independent/verified pickup partners.

2. Eligibility

You must provide accurate information and be legally capable of entering into an agreement under applicable law to use our services.

3. Pickup Requests

When you submit a pickup request, you agree to provide accurate details regarding your name, contact information, pickup location, preferred timing, and the scrap material available for collection.

Submission of a pickup request does not automatically guarantee that a pickup will be completed at the requested time. Pickup availability may depend on location, partner availability, material type, quantity, operational conditions, and other factors.

4. Scrap Material

Scrappo may accept different categories of household, office, commercial, and other scrap materials as listed on the website.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel collection of any material that is prohibited, unsafe, hazardous, illegal, contaminated, or otherwise unsuitable for collection.

5. Weighing and Scrap Quantity

The final quantity of scrap may be determined at the time of pickup using the applicable weighing process.

Any estimated quantity provided before pickup is indicative only. The final payable amount may be calculated using the actual quantity and applicable price at the time of collection.

6. Scrap Prices

Prices displayed on the website are indicative and may change based on material type, quality, market conditions, location, quantity, and other operational factors.

The applicable price for a particular pickup will be communicated or determined according to the pricing applicable at the time of collection.

7. Payment

Where payment is offered for collected scrap, payment will be made using the payment method communicated or agreed upon for the applicable pickup.

Payment may be subject to verification of the scrap quantity, material, transaction details, and other applicable checks.

8. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Ensure that you have the right to sell or hand over the scrap material
  • Provide safe and reasonable access for pickup
  • Keep the scrap ready and reasonably accessible for collection
  • Separate general waste or non-resalable waste from the scrap
  • Not offer stolen, prohibited, or illegal materials
  • Cooperate with reasonable verification requirements

9. Prohibited Materials

Scrappo may refuse collection of materials that present a safety, legal, environmental, or operational risk. This may include hazardous substances, explosives, weapons, illegal materials, biomedical waste, or other restricted materials.

10. Pickup Delays

Pickup timings may be affected by traffic, weather, operational issues, partner availability, access restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

11. Cancellation

Customers may cancel a pickup request in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.

Scrappo may also cancel or decline a pickup request where the material, location, customer information, safety conditions, or other circumstances make the pickup unsuitable.

12. Scrap Stored at Height or Difficult Locations

If the scrap is stored on an upper floor, at significant height, or in a location that requires additional labour, lifting, shifting, special equipment, or extra effort to bring the scrap down to the pickup point, additional removal charges may apply.

Any applicable additional charges will be communicated to the customer before the scrap is removed from the location.

13. Cancellation After Scrap Has Been Brought Down

Once Scrappo personnel or a pickup partner has collected and brought scrap down from an upper floor or difficult-to-access location, the customer cannot require the scrap to be returned to the original floor or location if the customer subsequently cancels the transaction or refuses to complete the pickup.

In such circumstances, the customer will be required to come to the designated ground-level or accessible collection point to collect the scrap. Scrappo personnel or pickup partners will not be required to carry or return the scrap back to the original upper floor, including the 10th floor or any other floor from which it was collected.

Any additional handling, lifting, shifting, or transportation costs resulting from such cancellation may also be payable by the customer.

14. Non-Resalable Waste and General Garbage

Scrappo primarily accepts scrap materials that have resale or recovery value. General household garbage, wet waste, food waste, dirt, debris, or other materials with no resale value may not be accepted.

Customers must separate non-resalable waste from the scrap before the pickup. If such waste is mixed with the scrap, Scrappo reserves the right to refuse the non-resalable material or, where applicable, refuse the entire pickup.

15. Sorting and Segregation

Customers are requested to keep different scrap materials reasonably separated and ready for collection.

If excessive sorting, segregation, cleaning, or separation of scrap from general waste is required at the pickup location, additional service charges may apply depending on the time, labour, and effort required.

16. Accessibility and Safe Access

The customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the scrap and ensuring that the pickup area is accessible to Scrappo personnel or pickup partners.

If the scrap is located in a locked, restricted, unsafe, inaccessible, or otherwise unsuitable area, Scrappo may request the customer to make the scrap accessible or may refuse the pickup.

17. Dismantling, Cutting, Lifting and Additional Services

Services such as dismantling, cutting, lifting, shifting, carrying, disassembly, or removal of scrap from difficult locations may require additional charges.

Any applicable additional service charges will be communicated to the customer before the service is performed.

18. Customer Items and Personal Belongings

Customers are responsible for removing personal belongings, documents, valuables, or any other non-scrap items from the material before handing it over for collection.

Scrappo will not be responsible for personal items or valuables accidentally included with the scrap after the material has been handed over for collection.

19. Ownership of Scrap

By handing over scrap to Scrappo or its pickup partner, the customer confirms that they have the legal right and authority to sell, transfer, or dispose of the material.

Scrappo may refuse any material where ownership or the customer's right to transfer the material is unclear or disputed.

20. Pickup Refusal

Scrappo reserves the right to refuse or cancel a pickup if the material does not meet our acceptance criteria, contains excessive non-resalable waste, is unsafe, is inaccessible, or requires services that cannot be reasonably provided under the applicable pickup conditions.

21. Website Content

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and current. However, prices, availability, categories, descriptions, images, and other information may change without prior notice.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Scrappo will not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including service interruptions, network failures, third-party service failures, traffic conditions, weather events, or other unforeseen events.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be published on this page along with the revised "Last Updated" date.

25. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the applicable laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts having jurisdiction over the applicable location of Scrappo, subject to applicable law.
